Curriculum Engineering
One of CHIEF’s overarching mission is to help institutions in Ghana and West Africa elevate their quality of teaching and instruction.
We help institutions do this by “attacking” at four decisive elements: Curriculum; pedagogy; content and Evaluation.
For instance, when we help institutions on Curriculum; we can either do a complete Backbone re-engineering – meaning comprehensive overhaul and international benchmarking of the curriculum; or we can do a Flesh re-engineering – in which the statutory curriculum prescribed by the government is retained but the internals are benchmarked to lend more quality and depth to learning.
When we advise on pedagogy, we actually develop new frameworks, models and methods for teaching and instruction based on scientific cognitive learning theories.

Faculty Enrichment
The Faculty Enrichment module of the CHIEF Academic Enrichment Program (CAEP) seeks to re-orient and drive teachers toward a more democratic and participatory method of instruction that promotes understanding of fundamentals through exploration, experimentation, application and co-learning among students. This module aims at:
1. Orienting and enriching the beliefs and attitude toward teaching and making them appreciate the concept of “multiple intelligences”
2. Making teachers introspect and self-evaluate their strengths and weakness
3. Making teachers help move away from “instruction” and passivity-centered Pedagogical approaches to a more self-determined “heutagogical” approach to learning among students write to us at reengineering@chiefglobal.org
